Since their introduction in early 2000, Invisalign has become the treatment of choice for many adults. Clear aligners are the ultimate in discrete orthodontic treatment and are the invisible way to get a beautiful smile without fixed metal or ceramic braces.
Invisalign was designed as a way of providing all the orthodontic benefits of braces without any of the drawbacks. This resulted in the development of a system that utilizes aligners made of a 3D printed clear material. With Invisalign, your teeth are first scanned into the computer. A 3D model of your teeth is created and used to virtually align them. For each little movement, a separate aligner is printed with 3D printing. On average it takes anywhere between 14 -30 aligners and each aligner is worn for 7- 10 days.
With Invisalign clear aligners it is important to have an orthodontic specialist design and supervise your treatment. Many general dentists are offering Invisalign, but their lack of training and experience might not give you the result you expect.
The cost of Invisalign clear aligners is similar to the cost of fixed appliances. Often clear aligners are less expensive than fixed braces as the treatment time is frequently shorter. We are also offering a generic clear aligner made by 3M or Orchestrate 3D. With the generic aligners, we can provide our patients with the same high-quality care with significant savings in cost.
Invisalign braces are able to address most of the concerns that are treated with traditional braces; these include:

- Simple irregularities in your bite
- Relapse after previous orthodontics with fixed appliances
Sometimes Invisalign is not the treatment of choice and traditional braces are needed to give you the result you want.
Invisalign aligners are removable and are in general more comfortable than traditional braces. During your treatment, you will be able to remove your aligners for up to two to four hours every day. You can take them out for meals and when going to a restaurant, or other important social activities. This is something you cannot do with fixed appliances making Invisalign the first choice for young adults. However, it is important to remember that Invisalign works best when worn as much as possible.
Smile Club Direct and other direct to consumer orthodontic companies are not a wise choice. All these companies offer orthodontic products while bypassing the years of training and expertise only an orthodontist can provide.
