What does my Insurance pay?

Dental insurance companies may have a separate orthodontic provision in their policy. If your dental insurance has orthodontic coverage it generally will cover 50% of the cost up to a certain lifetime maximum. Most insurances cover between $1,500 – $3,000 of the cost for orthodontic treatment. When you provide us with your insurance information our front desk can easily find out what your coverage is.

We are a participating provider with DELTA DENTAL, BLUE CROSS DENTAL, CIGNA DENTAL and MET LIFE. We also work with most other insurance carriers and will do all the paperwork for you.

What are the payment options for orthodontic treatment?

At Braces for a Great Smile we provide a wide range of options to make your orthodontic treatment affordable and help you get the smile you deserve.

If you have a credit card that gives you points or airline mileage, you might consider paying for your treatment in full. If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a generous 8% fee discount. If you have orthodontic insurance coverage, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by your insurance. For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, and AMERICAN EXPRESS.

The other option is to do a payment plan that is provided by our office. We can give you a monthly payment plan option over the duration of your treatment. Our in office payment plans are interest free and do not require any credit checks and will not affect your credit score.

Examples of our in office monthly payment plans

A typical monthly payment plan for a patient with orthodontic insurance coverage will look as follows:
3M Clear Aligners $4800.00
Patients Insurance covers $2000.00
The down Payment is $450.00 and monthly payments are $167 for 14 months.

Without insurance the down payment will be $950 and the monthly payments are $275 for 14 months.

For a teenager who needs fixed appliances the average cost is $5400
If the patient has $2000 insurance coverage the down payment will be $450 and the monthly payments $147.50 for 20 months.
